Yomi on G4TV Tonight
For the first time ever, the X-Play television show on G4TV is covering a card game rather than a video game. Fittingly it's Yomi! The coverage airs tonight on G4TV (on X-Play) at 6:30pm Eastern/Pacific.
As you probably know by now, Yomi captures the mind games involved in high level fighting gameplay in card form, along with several mechanics such as dragon punches, fireball traps, and even Guilty Gear's "burst." You can get it at www.sirlingames.com, find the rules at www.sirlin.net/yomi/rules, and you can play it online completely for free at www.fantasystrike.com.
Yomi won Game of the Year from The Dice Tower.
EDIT: Here's the web version of the segment.

Awesome. Any chance you can record it and throw it up on youtube? I'd love to see it!
I already posted the link in the original post.
Cool, I couldn't get it to stream but I found the direct download link after a little digging through the source: http://files.g4tv.com/videoDB/054/456/video54456/xp20110727_yomi_pre_iphone.mp4
The segment is unfortunately short but you did a good job of describing the basics of Yomi within the allotted time.
I like the b-roll footage from HD remix as illustration of what's being talked about.
Yeah it's kind of surprisingly short. There was a lot more footage shot, but I guess that's how it goes. Cool that it happened at all!
"David Sirlin, president of Sirlin Games" seems a bit... excessive? I never liked fancy titles much, so maybe it's just me.
Anyway, more exposure for Yomi, yay! The segment was only a brief two minutes long, boo.
